If you recall a team from South Suburban Evangelical Free Church in Minnesota recently went on a trip to New Orleans to perform some Hurricane Katrina relief work and to care for some of the people effected by the storm and the flooding. Well the team is back and people are starting to put together different items to help communicate our trip to others.
Laurie Jorgenson put together a compilation of photos that tells some of the story pretty well. You can find those photos here….
Thank you Laurie.

Hey… Where can I get 7 of those t-shirts?? And for how much?
If you are serious you can contact the people at urban impact http://www.urbanimpact.org/
We got the shirts from them when we arrived.
All you have to do is go do a service project and you’ll get the shirt for free….lol
I finally took the time to sit and go through those photographs and my mind is still reeling this morning from the images, especially of the 9th ward.
I’m thinking of posting some of my photographs here and there in my blog of ‘pre katrina’ nola, the New Orleans of my memories.
Thank you for sharing those. I think the most powerful one is of the 9th ward, and the barge sitting on top of the school bus. Just sat and nearly bawled at that one.
