Minneapolis Stone Arch Bridge: Night
Originally uploaded by !!WaynePhotoGuy.

The Minneapolis Stone Arch Bridge is one of the most recognizable landmarks in all up the upper Midwest. Build by the great railroad baron James J. Hill, the bridge was needed to bring grain to the mills that made Minneapolis such a prosperous river town on the mighty Mississippi. The bridge is now used as a pedestrian bridge in a park like location of Minneapolis great for tourist outings or for a romantic date.

This structure now blends the old with the new in the Minneapolis skyline making the view historic, modern and beautiful.

As you may be able to tell, I love to photograph this view…. This is the bridge and the city in winter..
