Guthrie Theater

The Guthrie Theater is a Tony Award winning center for theater performance, production, education, and professional training in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is the result of the desire of Sir Tyrone Guthrie, Oliver Rea, and Peter Zeisler to create a resident acting company that would produce and perform the classics in an atmosphere removed from the commercial pressures of Broadway.

Photo of the Day: Hoar Frost

This is an image of the incredible beauty of winter and hoar frost at one of my favorite local parks Lebenon Hills Park in Eagan.
If you live anywhere close I encourage you to get out the that park. It is a great place.

Photo of the day: Brooklyn Bridge: New York City

“The Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. Completed in 1883, it connects the New York City boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn by spanning the East River. With a main span of 1,595.5 feet (486.3 m), it was the longest suspension bridge in the world from its opening until 1903, and the first steel-wire suspension bridge.”
This was part of our family trip to New York city in the summer of 2010

St Patrick’s Cathedral New York City

St Patrick’s Cathedral New York City
“The new cathedral was designed by James Renwick, Jr. in the Gothic Revival style. On August 15, 1858, the cornerstone was laid, just south of the diocese’s orphanage. At that time, present-day midtown Manhattan was far north of the populous areas of New York City.”
